If like me , you have doubted your self worth, felt ashamed and felt you were without purpose , allow me to let you know and acknowledge that we have an enemy whose mission is to steal , kill and destroy ( John 10:10) and we are his target.
In Genesis the enemy doesn’t appear on the scene until a woman (Eve) was in the garden. ( Genesis 3: 1-6)
Rahab ( a prostitute ) saved her family from death because of her boldness and courage. ( Joshua 2)
Esther saved a whole nation from Genocide. (Book of Esther)
Ruth a foreigner and former worshipper of other gods, was in the genealogy of Christ. (Book of Ruth)
Mary a young virgin carried the Messiah. (Luke 1:26-38)
You are more powerful than you know. The enemy recognises that more than we do at times. That is why he is so adamant and relentless in whispering lies to you.
His hope is that the difficulty, the lies, the pain and experiences that you have gone through will cause you to shrink in fear and quit being the best version of you.
He knows that once you partner with God and live your life according to what God has for you then you are dangerous. Dangerous in eliminating his evil influence and bringing heaven on earth.
What if these women had refused or denied their purpose and calling?
What if they had allowed their current circumstances to dictate their choices and decision?
Dear beloved you are:
Forever loved
For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)
Strong
The God who encircles me with strength
And makes my way blameless? ( Psalm 18:32)
Healed
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing];
The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him,
And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed. (Isahiah 53:5)
Beautiful
I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works. ( Psalm 139:14)
His
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” ( Joshua 1:9)
Forgiven
Your sins have been forgiven for His name’s sake [you have been pardoned and released from spiritual debt through His name because you have confessed His name, believing in Him as Saviour. ( 1 John 2:12)
Adopted
He predestined and lovingly planned for us to be adopted to Himself as [His own] children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the kind intention and good pleasure of His will. ( Ephesians 1:5)
Whole in Him
And in Him you have been made complete [achieving spiritual stature through Christ], and He is the head over all rule and authority [of every angelic and earthly power] ( Colossians 2:10)
Be convinced today and let it be forever settled in your heart and mind that you are loved and worthy to God. Your past, has no bearing on your destiny.
However, the choices, the steps you take today will not only impact you but many.
