As we reflect on the death and resurrection of Jesus on the cross this Easter, I encourage us to take inventory of the things in our lives that we are allowing to hold us back, the situations and circumstances and the mindsets. You see, to be set free is God’s role but to choose to remain in chains is our decision.
So often we question why we have bad things happen if we are saved. Can I remind us that God never promised us a problem free life as believers; instead we are to accept that problems and and difficulties are part of this life.
John 16:33;
“…… In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
James 1:2-3;
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
What we do have is victory, victory in Jesus. Victory to overcome those bad things that happen in life. His death and resurrection on the cross assures us of that. Through His sacrifice we have been:
- forgiven of our sins (Romans 6:23)
- we have eternal life (John 10:27-28)
- victory over sickness and disease (Acts 3:16)
- access to God (Ephesians 2:18)
- an intercessor (Hebrews 7:24)
- right standing with God (Romans 3:24)
- The Holy Spirit (John 14:16)
- Life (John 10:10)
Let us no longer walk around defeated and deterred by our circumstances but instead rejoice in the victory we have in Christ Jesus.
If sick let us claim our healing.
If we have sinned let us ask for forgiveness and repent.
If we need wisdom, let us ask God, and walk in obedience to His Sprit.
This month we are focusing on Economic Stewardship as Gracious Women; an area that many believers struggle with today, an area where some of us have felt defeated. We believe that this area of finances is a significant aspect of the victory we have in Jesus . We will be exploring this and believing for revelation, wisdom and strategy to walk in dominion in our finances.
Proverbs 13:22;
“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children,
And the wealth of the sinner is stored up for [the hands of] the righteous.”
You don’t have to live a life less than that Jesus paid for with his body and blood for us to have. We understand that this is a process, a journey that at times you will need to walk alongside someone to help you fully grasp. We hope you will follow along with us this month as we claim our financial freedom. Contact us if you would like to know more.
